Meet Kevin Riddell, our esteemed Lead Trainer at The Lodge. With a passion for canine companionship and over a decade of experience, Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our training programs.
Kevin embarked on his journey in dog training in 2018, and since then, he has honed his skills across Canada and the United States. His dedication to the art of dog training is evident in the successful outcomes and happy canine clients he has worked with.
Expertise:
Specializing in competitive retriever training for sport, Kevin's expertise extends beyond the field. His training methods, rooted in positive reinforcement, have proven effective in both competitive and household settings. Kevin's commitment to creating well-behaved and happy dogs has garnered recognition, with Canine Field Co dogs qualifying for the National Championships through the National Retriever Club of Canada multiple times since 2018.

Kevin believes in a holistic approach to training, understanding that each dog is unique. Whether it's puppy foundations, obedience, or specialized private classes, Kevin tailors his training methods to suit individual needs, fostering a positive and lasting relationship between pets and their owners
Puppy Foundations:
This training will help master essential skills for a well-rounded and confident start in life. From perfecting crate and potty training to swiftly addressing nipping, we focus on creating a calm and accepting attitude toward grooming and vet exams. Socialization is a priority, emphasizing both manners and enjoyable interactions.
Life Skills:
Perfect for dogs of all ages, our Life Skills training will cover fundamental commands that are essential for a harmonious relationship. From coming when called and walking nicely on a leash to ignoring distractions and responding promptly to voice commands, your dog will develop good manners and a keen sense of obedience. We address common challenges, such as jumping up on family and guests.
Intermediate to Advanced Life Skills:
Build on your dog's foundation with our Intermediate to Advanced training, where we take training to the next level. Your dog will learn to listen without the use of a leash, master the art of retrieval, and develop rock-solid sit and down stays. We continue to build a bomb-proof recall, ensuring your dog responds reliably in various situations.
